Meiosis consists of 4 divisions in the nucleus. Two new haploid cells are born by the division of 2 other haploid cells. Mitosis divides them into 2 divisions.

How many times chromosomes replicate in meiosis?

They replicate before meiosis begins, as it is the division phase. The chromosomes duplicate during interphase which is right before the beginning of meiosis. After going through meiosis I the chromosomes DO NOT duplicate nor do they cross over they simply continue on. Hope this helps. :)

How many times does cell divides during meiosis?

How many times cells divides in mitosis and in meiosis?

I think into two in mitosis and into four in meiosis. Hope this helps.

How many times do chromosomes make copies of themselves during meiosis?

2

How many times does the cell nucleus divid during meiosis?

Twice. When the cell starts off there are 46 chromosomes present. This mutliplies to 92, right before it is going to divide. Then you are left with two daugter cells that have 46 chromosomes each. The second part of meiosis, each of these cells breaks into two. And this will lead to having four daughter cells with 23 chrosomes each.

How many times does the cell divides in meiosis?

twice

How many times does the nucleus divide during meiosis?

To be more accurate the nucleus doesn't split in mitosis because after DNA replicates in interphase and prophase starts nuclear membrane is removed and there is no longer a nucleus just free chromosomes. These separate in anaphase and then in telophase where two daughter cells are going to be produced the nuclear membrane reforms as well as the nucleolus forming two cells with identical nuclei.

How many times does the cell divides during Meiosis?

A cell undergoing meiotic division will divide twice, yielding 4 haploid cells.

Why does a gamete produced during meiosis have half as many chromosomes as a daughter cell produced during mitosis?

they double 30 times its wight

How many times does DNA replicate in meiosis?

1 time only which is done during the only interphase in meiosis.

How many times does a reproductive cell divide during meiosis?

twice It divides twice creating 4 daugther cells with 23 chromosomes each.

Why does the cell divide this many times in meiosis?

Meiosis divides twice since it is trying to duplicate the cells to create two new daughter cells for the creation process in species. It is the opposite of mitosis.
