Warning Light for Parking [Emergency] BrakeUsually, the cause for this is that the switch used to sense the position of the Parking brake lever is either out of adjustment, or the contacts within the switch are stuck together. The switches are usually operated by a "plunger" pin which is spring loaded. When the Parking Brake is applied, it presses the plunger in, closing the switch, and causing the light to turn on.When the Parking Brake is "OFF, an internal [usually] spring pushes the plunger "out," opening the warning light circuit and thus turning the light off.Occasionally on some vehicles, this is just backwards, IE, plunger "in" turns light on, and plunger "out" turns light off.You will have to analyze the operation of your Parking Brake in relation to when the light is on or off compared to the brake lever position. The switch is "adjusted" by moving it closer or farther away from the arm that pushes the plunger pin in, or allows it to move out.
Stabalizer light turns on
It is important to pay attention to the warning lights on the dashboard. The Battery warning light turns on when there the battery of a car is having a problem.
Check your brake fluid, probably low.
This warning lamp means your antilock brake system has detected a fault. When this happens, the ABS system logs one or more fault codes that correspond to the problem and turns on the ABS warning light. In most cases, it also temporarily DISABLES your ABS system. You vehicle should still brake and stop normally, but it will NOT have antilock braking when making a sudden panic stop or braking on wet or slick surfaces. You can continue driving, but you should have the problem diagnosed and repaired at your earliest convenience. NOTE: If the Brake Warning light is also on, it may indicate a serious hydraulic problem with the brake system. Your vehicle may NOT be safe to drive (see the info on Brake Warning Light above).
Well what do you know I solved the mystery mmyself it turns out after I paid to replace wheel cylinders and hoses and bleeding the brakes the cure was an $8.00 brake switch. Once I changed the switch the flashing brake light monster went away. So to anyone else who has a flashing brake light problem with your 89 Chevy S10 Blazer if you get a code 10 that is when the brake warning light flashes 10 times the fix is a new brake switch hope this helps someone.
That's the warning light for your burglar alarm. Locking the car turns it on.
That's probibly not supposed to happen.
it may indicate that the brake fluid is low
on the brake pedal under the dash is a brake light switch. that when you depress the brake it turns your lights on. you might wanna check that
The brake light, a red light shaped like a headlight on the dash means that one or more exterior lights are not working. It could be a taillight, brake light, side marker, license plate light, or third brake light. It stays on all the time if it's a side marker or any light besides the brake light. If it's the brake or third brake light it will come on only when you press the brake pedal.
