click the ignition with the key in from on to off 3 times off/on, off/on off/then leave ignition to on position. wait now your check engine light will read you a code of blinking lights the code is interpited in double didits. you see 1 blink is 1 pause blink, blink is 2 my first number to code is 12. then blink, blink, blink, blink pause blink, blink blink my second number to code is 43. then blink, blink pause then blink my third number is 21. ok now at end of all codes comes 55 which is the end of the reading like a period at the end of a sentence.
this is the code that my 1997 Dodge ram van reads 12-43-21-55
12=battery disconnected recently, 43=ignition coil, pig tail 12v or ground wires,or coil to distrubuter wire or ASD relay, 21=o2 sensor stuck or malfuction, 55 end of message cel on. If you get a 43 code remember to check all wiring going to and from coil it may not be the coil it self
if your foot is off the gas when it shuts off and will restart its most likely the idle air control motor
cut the plastic on the shourd around the line
BAD FUEL PUMP OR CLOGGED FUEL FILTER
Dodge does not have cut off switches.
Would cause intermittent cut out, or dies off/no start. It is located behind the motor mount on the passenger side of the engine. You can remove it with out removing the mount. There is one bolt to loosen and the sensor will pull out.
THere is no emergency cut-off switch on a 1995 Dodge Caravan.
That was probably a mistake. Who suggested that you cut the wires?
bad coil , or armacher in the starter is bad
Dodge does not use inertia/cut off switches.Dodge does not use inertia/cut off switches.
I have a 95 Pathfinder and had a similar issue. The engine would cut out when coming to a stop or making a turn but was fine when giving it gas. I had a fuel system flush done (but not a new fuel filter) and it has been fine since.
tfi module on distributer fail.
There is no inertia switch on a Dodge.
