More than likely its the pump getting ready to die. If it were just a filter problem, it would stall all of the time.

the oil filter is located on the front of the engine and is accessible from the bottom of the vehicle. you must remove the front cover to access the filter. be sure to have a correct filter wrench to remove the filter. good luck.

On a 1992 Buick Century, the oil filter is located between the radiator and the lower front of the engine. The radiator is situated in slightly in front of the filter.
The location of the filter depends on the engine. It is on the right side, either close to the front or centered front to back.

When you look at the very front (under the front bumper) of the skid plate, you will see a small drop down panel. The oil filter is behind that. Very easy access, just open the panel, ensure you have something in place to catch any oil, and change it out.
