My 7.4 volt 1500 mah battery wont make my aeg work but ive only charged it for about half an hour. is my aeg broken or do i just need to charge it more?

i'd say charge it more, for a completely drained battery 2-3 hours should be good

How many times you can charge an airsoft gun (in this case it should be AEG (Automatic Electric Gun)) depends on at least two factors: 1. The type of battery you use. Lithium Polymer (Li-Po) batteries have a longer life span than Ni-Cd or Ni-Mh. 2. Battery treatment. If you treat your battery/ies well (i.e. charge your Li-Po battery with a good balancer, not put it in a wet/damp environment, not dropping it) it can be charged hundreds of time without problems. Ni-Cd batteries have different kind of treatment. Read on manual how to treat your battery. My JG HK416 is still using standard battery (1500 mAh, 8.4 v, Ni-Cd) that comes with the unit. I've charged it at least 50 times and it's just never fail. I charges it with the standard charger unit after uses it for 2-3 small cqb games/skirmishes. I also upgraded my JG M4S-System with 1500 mAh, 11.1 v, 20c, Zippi Lightmax Li-Po battery with Firefox charger along with Turnigy balancer. I've charged it 30 times or so and it also never fail.

1500 volt? I think not... and read the Mah output on the charger. Mah stands for milliamps per hour so if your battery is 1200 mah and your charger charges at 300 mah then you charge it for 4 hours. It's simple math. Honestly, spend the extra 25$ to buy a smart charger. It will be easier because they don't overheat, don't over charge your battery, tell you when they're done charging, and charge your batteries in about an hour or two
