could be bad cells in the battery, but my BMW ended up having a seized motor, starter was engaging and clicking because it couldnt turn the engine. try putting a socket on the engine crank pulley to see if engine will rotate
A click and no lights is an indication of a loose battery cable. Also, the battery may have a dead cell and won't take/hold a charge.
change the battery every time I've had that it's been the battery the likely problem is not the battery but the solenoid that is attached to the starter motor
Weak battery? Loose or corroded battery cable?
make sure the battery is fully charged...if it is...it sounds like a bad starter selenoid and or starter or bad connection
The clicking can signify a weak or dead battery. Make sure the battery is fully charged to start the engine.
Weak battery or starter motor shorted out internally.
If it does not start and just makes a clicking sound, this is an indication of: a low battery, poor battery connections, or a defective starter solenoid ( next to the battery hooked up by the short positive battery cable). Check and clean your battery cables first , then look to the solenoid if you know the battery is fully charged. I hope this helps you. Mark
Your battery sounds like it is dead. Get it charged or replace it with a new one. Then try to find what drained it so this will not repeat.
is it in park or neutral if not then will not start....is battery fully charged sometimes new batteries need charging before use....try the ignition relay sometimes they go on the blink....if battery is charged....remove ecu fuse for one minute and put back....this resets your whole setup
Dead battery? Maybe if it makes clicking noise -dead battery
If your car makes a clicking sound when you try to start it, try to jump the battery. If that starts it, check the electrical system and if it was the battery, replace the battery. If jumping it does not fix it, have a mechanic look at it.
Weak battery? Loose or corroded battery terminals? Engine seized? Bad starter? Bad starter solenoid? Bad neutral switch?
