The same is happening now to me. We went out and he told me to be friends. I told him yes but i regretted it and we eneded up having a fight now i hate him. If you stay friends and you still love him imagine when he gets a new Girlfriend youll keep saying to yourself you might go back out and you wont move forward. I think you first of all need a break from him dont get to close or your old feelings will come bubbling back up. It is really impossible for people to be friends after having a relationship. The most difficult thing there is he doesn't feel the way you feel about him. It's hard from the start but accept the fact that he doesn't have any feelings for you anymore. Don't force yourself to be his friend right now maybe later.
