My belly ring is itchy and red I got it pierced a week ago and I am using anti bacterial soap and salt and water to clean it it's been really annoying and itchy for days is this normal?

anti-bacterial soap is a NO NO for ANY piercing! the chemicals in it are wayyy too harsh for it. think of it like this : if you had an open wound on ur arm, would u rub anti-bacterial soap in it? uhh NO! another thing to keep away from piercings is neosporin or any of those types of anti-biotical ointments. just keep with the saline they give you, and it'll stop itching. its like a scab, how it itches as it heals.
