So many people want to "hang out" with the boys or their girls. It should not be ok for attached people to be consuming mood altering substances in places where they are vulnerable and to the extent they will do things they are sorry for. I would forgive him, no big deal, really. I think a lot of people have crossed the line a little bit before marriage. However if you have marraige plans, put them off for a while. If he comes home drunk again, just assume that he is not in a position to control himself and ask yourself if this is the life you want. You need not make any demands or excuses if you decide that once more is too much. Think about it, drunk is a risk even if it is the 2 of you at home alone. Thinking is impaired. A man ready for a relationship know not to be out of control. Typically, men will only get really loose when they are not at risk. That is not very likely anymore. Maybe in your hotel room in Mexico might be somewhat safe, and if something very embarrassing happens it will probably not be all of your friends that know.

One more thing, no more being alone with this "friend". He should understand that without being told anything. Dump him flat and right now if he does not. He can learn with other girlfriends. The main reasons women like mature men when they are ready for marriage is because the "training" is done. Don't try to take it on yourself. He will just feel controlled and hate you eventually.
