The father can get custody, he has to qualify like anyone else. The child is under the jurisdiction of the Indian Child Welfare Act.
It depends on lot factors. this just tip of iceberg.
what is wrong you? if your able you can care for the child.
if you an unfit mother, yes they can award cusody to the father.
as long as you stay on the reservation they can't take your child.
as soon as you leave reservation they will take your child by force.
this is also true for products you buy.
He can try, but the minor mother have equal rights to the child. They will not remove the child from her based on the fact that she is a minor as long as she is a fit parent.
The father should give them a Power of Attorney for doing so.
In most cases (if the father wanted the child) the child could live with the father and the father should be seeing a lawyer to get full custody. If both parents don't want the child (because the child is willful and into one bit of trouble after the other) then that minor can become a ward of the court and be put into foster care. Marcy
Not a lot. She can still be deported - and separated from her child if the father / government chooses. Either get yourself married or gather up your child and return to your native country.
If the term Indian means Native American and the mother has a recognized Indian number it would be advantageous to the child to designate him/her as a Native American since the child would be 50% Native American. This would set the stage for benefits to the child as well as some number of subsequent direct descendants. There is a mixed race designation available in some states however clarity in this instance might be well advised. If Indian refers to someone from India then the child could be listed in any of several ways depending on the state of birth.
Yes, my father Andrew Manigault born in Winnsboro, SC in 1896 mother Hannah was Native American and was sold on the auction block when she was a child. Native Americans were slaves too back then. You may reach me at jmanago_35@hotmail.com
The child is an American citizen if the child was born on American soil. The child should be able to stay in the US with the father. Unless the mother takes the child with her. There could be a custody dispute between the mother and father, it should be what is best for the child.
"Papoose" is an American English loanword whose present meaning is "a Native American Indian child" (regardless of tribe). It comes from the Algonquian word papoos, meaning "child". Other Nativce American languages used very different words for child.
He did have Native American child and he treated him terribly! He beat him and he almost killed him when he threatened him with a knife. Yes he did and he beat him almost to death when he threatened him with a knife. EVERYBODY KNOWS THAT!
it was a lot better than ours, that's for sure. the native American childhood was very basic. don't upset your child. the worst punishment was getting ignored. i hope this helped a little!
That depends on what the custudy papers say; meaning that the parent that is paying may stop due to the agreement they signed. So it depends really some parents custudy papers state that this parent paying child support will pay till the child(ren) are by legal age or that they have to pay till they are in college or are in college so ask what the agreement was to see because every case varires to different ranges.
