My daughter is 7 weeks pregnant. The doctor could not detect a heartbeat with the pelvic ultrasound. Doctor says that since there is no heartbeat she should abort. Is it too soon?

I'm no doctor but i would say absolutely not!! It can be still to soon. I didnt hear my sons heartbeat until i was almost 12 weeks since it was very faint. I was told because of position, etc that it couldve distorted it. Dont jump and do anything be patient and let nature do its course. I think she will be fine. Best wishes

Three weeks pregnant is a week before you miss a period so it is impossible to know it is twins. If you are three weeks after conception, (5 weeks pregnant)it is still early to see a heartbeat.
