The radiator cooling fan or your fan for the heater and air conditioning? If it is the fan for your heater and air conditioning it could be several thing. The most common problems are the blower motor switch goes bad (the switch that you select your fan speed with). The blower motor resistor often goes bad too (it is usually mounted very close to the blower motor itself). Rarely, the blower motor itself can go bad. This is the motor that turns the fan. It is just a basic 12 volt motor and can be tested by connecting it directly to a car battery. You should also check your fuses to make sure a fuse is not blown and you should make sure your wires going to the fan are still intact and are not cut or shorted out.
nearside sidelights not working on ford focus
Let the car idle and come up to temperature, probably takes 15 minutes or so. Watch the gauge in the event the fans aren't working. When the temp reaches a certain point the fans will automaticaaly turn on, you should be able to see and hear them. pukenstein@aol.com
fuse, read ford book ,,,,,
one of the sensors are between the two fans with wires going into it
It doesn't have a fan belt. It is transverse mounted and utilizes electric radiator fans.
Blown fuse? Refrigerant leak?
its a 2001 ford focus 1.6 petrol
You probably have malfunctioning blower fans. A blown fuse can cause your blower fans to malfunction. The heat and air conditioning cooling is not being forced into the passenger cabin.
I to have had this problem, but fan still works on all settings.Have you checked the fan its self or the resistor pack.
Bad blower resistor?
Could you specify what exactly is working improperly, and what it is that it is doing wrong? There is a pretty broad spectrum of possibilities there.
