My friends think im pretty but guys dont like me and i dont know why. how do i know that my friends really do think im pretty and are not just trying to make me feel better?

Looks are not the only reason a guy would like you. I am sure you have a mirror what do you think? Are you nice when you talk to guys? Do you smile when you see a guy you might like? Do you flirt a little? Sometimes guys need a sign from a girl before they will even talk to you. I would try a little makeup, dress nice, and smile a lot and see what happens. Also try a little flirting, Good luck :)

he just wants to be friends. He probably really likes you but if you date each other it might ruin your friendship and all he's doing is trying to stop that from happening.

Then they are not your friends. Good people wouldn't be bad to you. I suggest trying to find people who you feel would be better suited to you but in the mean time tell your friends what the problem is. Maybe they don't realise that they are hurting you.

Decide why they might be trying to convince him of that. Remind him they don't know you at all (Unless they do?), and that he does know you and needs to make up his own mind about you and make his own choices, not let his friends make them for him. Be true to yourself and who you are truly are and if he somehow lets his friends talk him into thinking you're bad, then he isn't a very bright person and you would deserve better. Don't worry about his friends. They aren't really his friends unless you really are treating him bad or something.
