My girlfriend broke up with me after a year and a half saying that she loves me but is not in love with me I agreed to work it out but it is very hard now she says she wants space what do I do?

You move on. You can't make someone love you, no matter how strong your love is. It sounds as if she wants all the "stops and whistles" that go along with infatuation and the early stages of a relationship. That never lasts. She will figure that out but it may take her several years. In the meantime, you have to take care of yourself and start considering yourself open to another relationship. She is doing everything but coming out with it: she wants her relationship with you to end.
