did you every click on 'transfer purchases'? it might be that, though i have no idea what it means. i did that and have exactly the same problem! When i have my iPod plugged in, all of my songs that i double click on wont play. then i deleted a song from my ipod and put it back in using the same song from my library, it worked! but it doesnt have the album art anymore. i spent hours putting ALL the album art onto my ipod and now i might have to do it all over agian! its so annoying! idk what to do!!!! somebody read this who knows what their doing and please help meeeee!!!
It means that iTunes can't find the file that is associated with that music or movie. Double click it and locate the file, and then it should play normally.
When iTunes displays an exclamation point it usually mean it cannot find the music file. To fix this you double click on the song and it will ask you if you want to locate the file. Tell it yes and it will pull up a browser, locate the music file and the select ok and then the problem is fixed.
