My lawn boy will start but it sounds like it is going to run out of gas and it is full of gas can you help me?

Two main possible reasons:
1: Fuel system problems, maybe fuel line is clogged or carby clogged
2: Check if there are vent holes on the fuel tank cap. If this is the case, you should experience the mower starts, but shut down. After a while, when you crank it, it starts, then shuts again. If vent holes are blogged, clear them. If there is none, punch one in but remember to put something that doesn't falls into the tank but lets air in (i.e. cloth) in the fuel cap to prevent petrol from spilling

Do you mean it is slow taking up the torque and getting going?? Reverse is nearly always the first thing to start failing when the tranny is shot - sounds like you should get rid of it!!!!
