My lunula isn't white it's red but it just looks like blood I think I pinched it It's my left lunula What's wrong?

This is Sarah, I'm a med school student.
I think you might just have a bruise in your finger but having a red lunula can be a sign of an underlying medical condition like rheumatoid Arthritis, liver conditions, chest conditions, heart conditions or others.
Also if you are on oral corticosteroids like prednisone that could be the cause.
I suggest you get medical advice from your doctor.
