There should be a metal washer on both sides of the fitting where the brake hose attaches to the caliper. You may need to replace the washers with new ones to stop the leak.

On the front calibers they should move in when compressed, the back ones have to be screwed in.

Corroded calibers that are rusting and sticking. Moisture is in the brake fluid. Replace the calibers and replace all the brake fluid. It can also be a sticking slide pin on the brake assembly. Check that before replacing the caliber.

There is no valve inside. It purely restricts flow to the front so that the more efficient front brakes are not doing all of the braking. You will only find these on disc/drum combinations. If you are experiencing a brake pull, you need to replace either the front brake hoses or one of the calipers. If the brake warning light switch is leaking, the proportioning valve will have to be replaced.
