They did not use a 700R4 in 2000 model. It would be a 4L60E.
th 400 th 350 if it has over drive 700r4
Well, if it's a Chevy truck, usually a 700R4 will be the type of transmission put in a 1992. Or a 4L60E. - Aaron
Yes but you may have to shorten the drive shaft if it is a 350 turbo going to a non electronic 700r4
It should be a 205 new prosess NOT.......... the 700R4 was not used with the gear drive NP 205, only earlier trucks with Turbo 350's or 400's it is more likely a np 207 chain drive
do you have the Diagram for drive belt on 1993 Chevy astro van
all 700r4 transmissions that have cable driven speedometers and are 2 wheel drive will fit all 700r4 transmissions that have cable driven speedometers and are 2 wheel drive will fit
Most likely one of these 700R4 / 4L60 / 4L60E / 4L65E They are pretty much the same 1989-2005 Chevy S-10 Blazer my 1992 has the 700R4 my 1997 has the 4L60E
If, as you state, the vehicle is a 5 speed, then I am not sure what you might have. If I recall, the manual tranny was a SM465 4 spd and the auto was a 700 R4. if the truck has over drive and is an auto it is a 700r4 if it doesn't and is auto it is a 350
RWD and some AWD
The wiring for the early 700R4 controlled the lock up converter only. We used to ground the wire by passing the external vacuum control so as soon as the transmission went into over drive it would lock and stay locked to prevent transmission overheating.
you have burnt out the 3rd. gear and overdrive. you will have to have it rebuilt or replaced.
A) Drive to dealership. Select new vehicle. Trade your Astro for new vehicle. B) Push Astro off a cliff. Walk to dealership and get a new vehicle.
