If your odometer reads more than 75,000mi then I would. Make sure you set the plug gap to the manufacturer recommendation (the parts store can tell you this). Also don't scrimp on your plugs. Don't buy cheap platinum plugs or "new designs". A plain platinum or double platinum will do just fine. Don't get less than platinum or you'll be re-doing the job in two years. Personally I would recommend either a Motorcraft or NGK for a Mazda.

Also, be especially careful to twist the plug wire boots before pulling on them, but don't be mad if they come apart anyway. Just to make it easier next time and helps to prevent misfires-- add some silicone dielectric grease inside the plug boots before re-installing them. The parts store will also be able to sell you a small package that's just enough. For a six cylinder, this job might run you $75, unless you have to replace the plug wires. If they come apart, they'll have to be replaced.
