Check your alternator wire. It is cracked, stretched, or otherwise broken. Also, your alternator may be going out, but it probably is the wire. That's why your car will only run off the battery. It's not the solenoid because then it would not even attempt to turn over. Incorrect polarity is not the issue or the car would not turn on. It's not your battery because, again, the car would not turn on. Neither is it your ignition because the car would not try to turn over. I will guess that you replaced your starter because of this problem. Take it back, get a refund, then use the money to buy your new alt if necessary. Also, this may be something entirely different; you may have a foreign object lodged in the gear mesh between the flywheel and the starter gear. Likely a chunk from one of the gear teeth.
check that wiring on battery is correct and check polarity, some people when they disconnect battery ,to change starter or alternator, put connections back on wrong... check solinoid. check all grounds make sure there tight. Also have youre battery tested. have ignition looked at when turning over it could be stuck to the start position had same problem
I have heard the alternator does it,cold drains the battery too,if it's not started for awhile can kill it.
Have you had the alternator tested? It may not be regulating the energy to the battery, causing it to drain
Most likely the starter is "dragging" due to worn bushings. When the bushings wear, the starter will "drag" against the interior of the housing and barely spin, causing the battery to drain.
have you changed the battery
Disconnect the POSITIVE battery cable and touch it to the negative terminal OR disconnect the POSITIVE battery cable for about 30 minutes (either way drains the capacitors in the electrical system)
Yes by not recharging the handset until it drains the battery.
I would sue him/take the car back.
Yes it will, it drains the battery so I suggest to use a regular wallpaper.
Well it maybe that the battery is to small for the truck or the alternator is bad
the battery may be bad, also the starter may be worn out and have a short that drains the battery check that your vehicle doesnt have a remote voltage regulator. and the new alternator may be bad as well
Yes, but it drains you battery fast.
check to see if the glove box light is on.
