300 USD or so
Depends entirely on external condition, internal condition, any extra holes drilled in receiver or barrel for scope or receiver sights. A very collectible firearm. Just need to know the true condition of the carbine.
very carefully... :) Seriously, take it to a gunsmith. The barrel is probably pressed into the receiver and pinned.

The serial number was stamped into the bottom forward edge of the receiver frame right next to where the magazine tube enters the action. Bert H.

$200-$350 depending on condition. We are always interested buyers on pre-64 Winchester rifles and shotguns. sales@countrygunsmith.net
Stamped on the receiver and probably the barrels, too.
It means that it is a Model 1890 (90) receiver. When Winchester introduced the Model 1906, they used the exact same receiver and action as the Model 1890, with exeption of the cartridge carrier. To readily differentiate between the two, Winchester stamped an "A" on the Model 1890 receiver and a "B" on the Model 1906 receiver. Bert H.
