Is Dist. turning? Voltage tester start at one end or the other and make sure there's power. Wire to coil grounded. Pickup in distributer. Electrical is always interesting.
Passenger side, right next to the ballast resistor.
there is a porcelain block on the firewall called a ballast resistor that limits voltage to the starter and there is also the voltage regulator that regulates voltage to the battery.
a ballast resistor drops voltage. In chrysler products it drops to six (6) volts.
The voltage regulator for a Hyundai Tuscan is on the back of the alternator. It is bolted on and can be replaced separately.
defective voltage regulator
The voltage regulator is attached to the vehicles alternator. It can be replaced as a separate unit.
The regulator is in the engine computer not the alternator.
n electrical regulator by using resistance the output voltage is varied simultaneously the speed is varied... But to reduce the the energy loses in the resistor, electronic regulator is introduced, which uses triac to vary the output voltage by varying the firing angle.Which avoids lose of energy in resistor...
The Voltage regulator in incorporated in the alternator. It must be replaced as a whole. Mobiletec Small Engine Service!
Just a left field idea but did you check the ballast resistor?
Electricity. Also called ballast resistor. a device, often a resistor, that maintains the current in a circuit at a constant value by varying its resistance in order to counteract changes in voltage. a device that maintains the current through a fluorescent or mercury lamp at the desired constant value, sometimes also providing the necessary starting voltage and current.
The voltage regulator on all Escorts is inside the alternator. It is an integral part of the alternator and the alternator has to be replaced to fix it.
