the modulator controls when it shifts.. the governor also controls this, but I'd flush the tranny and change the filter and fluid .... A good flush for an automatic is liquid Berrymans B-12... add it, go around the block slowly..then drain the thing and change the filter and fluid... when refilling, use a bottle of Lucas Transmission additive... THEN start changing parts...Service FIRST email for more if needed Dave
