There is a hidden fuel pump relay under the battery housing.
Remove battery and undo single holding screw to release.
Do not assume this is a wiring fault as the pump itself might just be knackered.
If lift pump has stopped running try hitting it first to see if it will restart, if it does supply is ok, fault is with pump. Just bought a pump my self from Remoco for £100 rather than 4-500 Ford wants.
My car would run for so long and then stop. Leave it for a while and it would start again for a short while.
No fault lights on dash board will be shown with this fault. If glow plug lights usually a different fault such as crank sensor or glowplugs.
If its a ford mondeo diesel 2002 , the fuel pump is located under the rear seat covered by a large rubber gasket type cover.Unfortunately ford in their wisdom didnt locate the hole directly above the pump and you can only release the electrical connector. to replace the pump involves dropping the fuel tank from beneath the car and unless your fairly handy with a spanner and have the facilities i would really reccommend a garage
It is in the rear of the fuel tank.It is in the rear of the fuel tank.
15 min job ,located beside fuel tank rear nearside, remove 8mm bolt holding bracket revealing the pump open the snap on fittings and remove also unclip electric connection .fit new pump in reverse of above
There is none. You just have to disconnect the power to the fuel pump. The wire is located just above the rear license plate holder. Is there a crash reset switch for the fuel pump?
The fuel relay on a 2005 Ford Escape is located at the rear of the vehicle near the fuel tank. It provides power to the fuel pump.
Unless you have an access panel above the fuel pump you must drop the fuel tank.
your fuel pump is located in the top rear of the fuel tank
Cuts off electrical power to the fuel pump in case of a sudden stop as in an accident, either frontal or rear end.
Fuel pump is under right rear of body
course it wont. behind the left rear tail light at 3 pm in the body cavity is a ground. clean it. it runs the fuel guage and the pump. in fact the power to the pump passes thru this cavity.
The fuel pump is located in the fuel tank. Fortunately there is an access panel under the rear seat. Once you remove the rear seat, the pump is fairly easy to get to.
no because the fuel pump is in the gas tank the tank needs to be removed to get to the fuel pump.
