My 2000 LeSabre has the same problem. Regardless of engine Revs, etc. the DIC indicates 129 lb of oil pressure. The other functions (battery voltage, etc.) function well, since they vary according to driving speed etc. I have spoken to the Buick service center in the area, and it appears that the problem is probably a faulty oil pressure switch, or a poor connection to same. I have not gotten around to checking either yet.
If you are a DIY mechanic, the switch is on the lower right rear of the engine near the PS pump and costs about $50 at an auto parts store. You will need to drain the oil before replacement, since your crankcase oil will pour out of the hole when you remove the switch. As well, insure that you get the correct pressure switch. There are at least two different ones, depending on which DIC your car is equipped with.
Good luck !
Press "gage info" button until tire pressure is displayed on the DIC press and hold the "reset" button DIC will display Tire pressure reset, then tire pressure normal. That's it any questions, email me at cjhcard@yahoo.com
I'm assuming that you have what is know as a "driver information center", (DIC). On page 6-44 of the owners manual they warn you to make sure that your tire pressure is good before reseting. Turn ignition switch to "Run" or on. Press the "Gauge Info" button until "Tire Pressure" appears in display. Press & hold "DIC Reset" for about five seconds. A message reporting "Tire Pressure Reset" should appear in the display. The manual recomends that if this procedure doesn't work, try it again. If that doesn't do it there could be a problem with the system. After letting go of the DIC Reset button "Tire Pressure Normal" should show up. The process is not complete. The car has to finish the job by it's self. The manual states that it can take any where from 45 to 90 minutes of drive time.

On the dash to the right of the DIC screen there are three buttons, Mode, Select, and Reset. First, push the Select button until the DIC shows the screen for Tire Pressure, once there hold the Reset button for five seconds. While holding the Reset button for five seconds the DIC screen will go from Low Tire, to xxx, release the button and it should now show Normal.
