You may be hearing the fuel pump. Turn the ignition on without starting the engine and listen carefully for the fuel pump. It will only run for a few seconds if you do not start the engine. Is that the sound you are hearing? You may also be hearing the blower motor which runs at it lowest setting continuously on some cars.
The check engine light comes on in a car when there is a problem with the engine. It will go off or be reset when the problem is fixed.
There could be a humming noise from the engine of a 2002 Toyota Corolla because of low oil or a fouled spark plug. It can also indicate a more serious problem.
MAKE CAR MAKES THE SAME NOISE AND REPLACING THE PVC VALVE FIXED THE PROBLEM
where is the engine controle module located in a 1995 buick lesabre
an engine is hottest after you turn it off. The humming is the cooling fan automaticly running to cool your engine down for longer engine life.
If this whining or humming is out of the ordinary, it's probably a bearing or bushing on the belt assembly that's wearing out.
I had the same problem with a 1992 Park Avenue with the 3800 engine. I first replaced the electronic ignition but that did not fix the problem. I then replaced the crankshaft heat sensor. That fixed my problem.
If you mean why is an engine difficult to start after it has been sitting for a while, there are various reasons. There may be a carburetor problem or some other sort of gas line problem.
you can disconnect the negative cable at the battery for at least 30 seconds. if the problem is intermittent, the light will be out afterwards. if it comes right back on, seek a shop that does engine diag.
Thanks
First you need to troubleshoot the 1994 LeSabre cruise control. Check the fuse, the cruise switch, the linkage, to find where the problem is. Check the vacuum lines on the engine as a vacuum leak can cause the cruise to not work properly.
The 1998 Buick LeSabre solenoid can be found on the firewall in the engine compartment. There will be three solenoids on the firewall.
