Bank 1 is the passenger side of the engine
Sensor 1 is near the engine before the exhaust enters the catalytic converter
Sensor 2 is after the exhaust leaves the catalytic converter
It is the sensor below the catalytic converter.
This would be the sensor after the catalytic converter.
3, sensor 1 bank 1, sensor 2 bank 1, sensor 2 bank 2
Bank one sensor one oxygen sensor
The one after the catalytic converter.
behind the cat
Inside the exhaust. there are two on each side.
It is behind the engine, after the catalyst.
on cylinder 1 side mounted on the manifold
bank #1 sensor #2 is the oxygen sensor that is past the catalytic convertor(some mechanics call it the downstream sensor)the sensor is located between the convertor and muffler you can use a 7/8 wrench or a oxygen sensor socket if you have one
Bank 2 is the passenger side exhaust pipe and sensor 2 will be the closest sensor to the converter.
Bank 2 is the drivers side of your V6 or V8 engine in a 1997 Ford F-150
