make sure your fluid level is where it's supposed to be.
If it is a ball type tester, use the bulb to suck in some coolant, then count the number of floating balls. The chart will tell you the coolant rating. If it is the needle type, then suck up coolant and the needle points to the coolant rating.
could it be the thermostat or the fan itself?
you can pierce your ear with a needle by burning it and put alcolhol in your ear for 5 to 10 minutes and get the burned needle and stick it in there
with a needle by hand
The guage on the dash uses the ONE wire sensor... This is located in the block near the drivers side. Eric First check to see if you have coolant in the radiator. If there is no coolant you will not get any reading from the temperature sensor. If there is coolant then change the temperature sensor.
There's a few different possibilities. The needle may be stuck, or it may be the result of engine overheating, which could be caused by such things as low/no coolant, a bad water pump, or a bad thermostat.
Low coolant? Cooling fan not working? Radiator restricted or plugged? Water pump not circulating coolant? Defective radiator cap? Low coolant? Cooling fan not working? Radiator restricted or plugged? Water pump not circulating coolant? Defective radiator cap?
Needle and thread...
bobbin case
nothing in ur finger
As long as it is within the NORMAL range and not at either extreme you are okay
It might be broken depending on the tester, either that or you have straight coolant or water.
