iTunes only allows you to download purchased music once! You have to move the files from the computer you purchased them to your other computer manually, by either burning them to CD or on a pen drive. You'll still need to use iTunes to listen to the files, unless you were lucky enough to purchase DRM Free music.

Sharing an iTunes audio book with a friend can be done. Sharing the book with a friend can be hard to do and is a long process.
If you still have the packaging there will be a code in it that will allow to download it if you have a multi-computer license. However, when you bought the program you will have had to have bought a version that can be installed on multiple machines with the afore-mentioned multi-computer license. If you have the normal license, you can't download it free...legally.
