On your 91 prizm you have changed out the CV shafts but can not find the tranny dipstick to refill the blasted thing anyone know where this thing is located?

there isn't any. Mercedes provides a cap next to the firewall drivers side to the transmission filler tube but no dipstick. THEY DON'T WANT ANYONE PUTTIMG THE WRONG FLUIDS IN THERE. YOU NEED SPECIAL TRANS FLUID. YOU CAN BUY A DIPSTICK FOR IT ON E-BAY.

How do you retrieve the dipstick after it falls into the oil tank on a 1986 Porsche 911?
First, remove all small children from the area so they don't hear the language you will be muttering during this procedure. Then drain the oil from the tank, so you can access the oil tank from both above and below. Bend hooks on two wire coat hangers so you can move the dipstick around from above and below. If you get the the handle loop located over the drain hole, you can push a long wire up through the tank while positioning the hook before it goes through the drain hole to catch the dipstick. After you successfully retrieve the dipstick, never remove it without tying a string to it, and never admit to anyone that you were so clumsy that you dropped it into the tank.
