The leakage can come from a water hose, or the water pump or a front freeze plug.
Hello, that sounds like the water pump is gone bad. If you are looking at the front of the motor, on the left side close to the center of the engine that is where the water pump is located. It is driven by the belt and it circulates the water from the radiator to the engine. The water is pumped out of the engine to the radiator, which cools the water and then its goes back into the engine. I would recommend running the engine very little, and check the water in the radiator 3 times a day until you can get it fixed. DO NOT let the motor run hot. You can cause serious engine damage if you do.
Pressure test system to observe leak
radiator cap might be leaking
antifreeze does not enter the engine at any time. locate and follow your radiator hoses and follow then and check for cracks or punctures.
look for antifreeze coming out of the radiator as the engine warms up after a cold start.
Radiator or hose but probably water pump
Your car shouldn't "burn" antifreeze. If it actually is "burning" antifreeze then chances are you have a blown/leaking head gasket or possibly a cracked engine block which allows antifreeze to enter the combustion chambers. If your antifreeze is just disappearing then it is probably leaking out from somewhere. Possible leak areas to check out would be the radiator hoses, heater hoses, radiator, water pump, and the heater core. Most of the time if the heater core is leaking you'll be able to smell the antifreeze inside the car while the engine is running and the heater is on.
Several possibilities: 1. Radiator is leaking. 2. Coolant hose is leaking. 3. Hose clamp is loose. 3. Seal on water pump is leaking. 4. Overflow container is leaking. 5. Radiator clamp is loose or bad. Two highest possibilities: Radiator or hose is leaking.
stuck thermostat, not enough antifreeze in radiator, leaking hose, are the usual. then it would be blown head gasket, not enough oil in engine, electric fans not coming on.
Radiator or hoses. Possible water pump
Look at the oil on the dipstick. If you have antifreeze leaking into the crankcase the oil will be milky.
Internal engine antifreeze leak what else could cause besides headgasket? there is no antifreeze in the oil it is clean
Intake manifold gasket leak....big problem with that engine. Sorry for the bad news.
