The accuracy until 1979 is limited, but the best guess we have is that the planet in 1900 was 0.1 degree below normal and we are currently 0.4 degrees above normal. The late 1800's and early 1900's were low temperature periods of the last mini ice age.

What are three movements of earth in space that can cause climatic change?

Known as the Miklankovitch cycles, they operate on different timescales. Eccentricity relates to the fact that the earth's orbit changes to being more or less elliptical about every 100,000 years. Obliquity relates to the fact that the axis if the earth varies in inclination over a cycle of 41,000 years. Precession relates to the fact that the earth wobbles slightly in its axis over a period of 23,000 years. All these cycles vary so that sometimes they add to each other, and sometimes they are working against each other, and this affects the amount of sunlight reaching the earth. This promotes regular changes in the earth's temperature, over which we have no control.

What is Jupiter's temperature compared to earth?

At the upper edge of the cloud cover, the temperature is thought to be -145 degrees C. On Jupiter the temperature increases because of atmospheric pressure, so as you descend temperature increases. Not far into the atmosphere the pressure is about ten times what it is here on Earth and the temperature is thought to be about 20 degrees C or average room temperature for Earth. Descend further and the temperature is thought to be over 9,700 C.s
