either in the fuel tank or on the fuel line, may look like a round plastic thing,
I imagine that it is a kevlar composite and rubber. It may also be ABS plastic.
on the fuel line under driver seat, you must remove the plastic cover to see it.
It could if it is big enough to block fuel pick up line, or is in small enough pieces to be sucked up into fuel line.
Yes, Plastic fuel lines can be repaired. They require a barbed fitting to be heated and forced into the plastic. The plastic tubing will shrink around the barbs when it cools. Vortech makes you alter your stock fuel system when installing their supercharger kits, and their solution is take a brass barbed fitting and put it in the oven at 400 degrees for 15 minutes, then taking the fitting (holding it with pliers) and sliding it into the plastic line. Ford has a kit that just presses the fittings in while cold. They offer plastic fuel line repair kits at a local auto parts store which usually consists of such parts. The rumors of stuffing metal line and hose clamping it is just a band-aid over a bullet wound approach and is definitely not considered a suitable repair, contrary to popular belief. Remember most fuel injected cars run up to 70 psi feed pressure through the feed lines, and in most cases fuel pressure is regulated at the fuel rails and excess fuel is returned to the tank through the different line, effectively droping fuel pressure at the injectors, not the feed line.
That covers and protects the fuel tank.
I just encountered this again the other day... Just pull really hard! This will most likely pull a piece of plastic off the fuel line that you need - just put / push it back onto the fuel line.
u have to go buy fuel line removal tool get the metal ones they have two line sizes on em the plastic ones will brake 10min or less
It is under the passenger rear inline. It either is bolted to the fuel line on either side or has plastic clips which just pull out with a screwdriver and must be reinserted to hold line on.
I just had a pinhole leak in the plastic fuel line about 1/4 inch before the elbow where the input line on the rear side of the fuel rail connects. It was on the bottom side of the line. I mixed up some JB Weld and drained the fuel pressure, disconnected the fuel line from the fuel rail and shook it a little to get the fuel out of it. Then blew if off with air pressure. Then used JB weld all around the line from the elbow about 2 inches back all round. I let it sit 24 hrs. It does not leak anymore.
