You didn't really ask a question, but I'll give a semi-answer. No chase laws or policies vary from state to state or department to department. Here in my city, according to department policy, police officers aren't supposed to chase you unless you have committed a violent crime, HOWEVER, I don't suggest running from the police. Department policy aside, if you run, they will chase you, even if it was just over a traffic violation.
