If you were not arrested, and were not given a ticket, whatever contact you may have had with the police will NOT show up on any check.
No. However, a good investigator might talk to other people in the police force 'if' they ever happen to investigate you. That kind of work is not just about following procedure.
Yes
I don't know in the US but in Canada most of the provincial Motor Vehicle Acts police have 12 months after the infraction to issue a ticket.
No, no ticket, no report, no knowledge to insurance company.
no, i think it's illegal to walk on the freeway and you would get a ticket and get arrested by the police
Yes. If you don't want to get arrested go to the police station immediately to pay the ticket.
Grand jury
When they write you a ticket, but you are not arrested. Examples of this are most traffic violations, i.e. a speeding ticket. More serious crimes will be an arrest, not a citation.
From a student: They call the police, and from there the police can decide whether to give you a ticket or not.
It depends on the policies of the local police department. It isn't illegal to do so, and most police departments will hire officers if they have a ticket, as long as the ticket is for something minor, such as speeding.
the police will give you a ticket or give you a warning the police will give you a ticket or give you a warning
If the officer took your name or ID or if you were responsible for those minors then you should just assume so. You can check though, especially if an MIP (minor in possession) ticket was issue, just ask for a copy of the police report and reference the ticket number.
Someone was at fault if their was an accident. Just because you didn't get a ticket, doesn't mean that the Police Officer didn't cite one driver for the accident. The codes tell who is at fault. Police have become way to cautious about issuing tickets in accident situations because they don't want to be called to court in these situations. The codes on the accident report tell who is at fault.
