Let me get this straight. I have to assume you are an American who wants to give up your American citizenship for a South Korean citizenship and become a police detective . You will need to be able read and speak Korean, go to school in Korea, go to the police training there, and live in Korea. I don't know what movie you saw that gave you this idea, but I suggest you become a police detective here instead and at some point visit Korea.

The Public service view citizenship as helpful as the citizens who help tackle crime by being witnesses, reporting crime, and actively doing something helps the Police convict and get justice for crimes done. Also, Citizens who help the local community like running clubs for youths and getting them involved in productive stuff helps keep them off the street and crime lower.
