Problems faced by secondary science teachers in India?

The main problem of science teaching in India is predominantly ill equipped/trained teachers in their area of specialization. very few teachers invest in acquiring knowledge about the newer development of the subject either through the books/magazine or through internet. Ill equipped library and laboratory provided by majority of schools. Hostile attitude of the administration. In majority of the cases there is no motivation to excel as teachers. There is no inspiration/social recognition or reward from the management/government. Successful science teaching requires dedication, motivation, appreciation and congenial environment.
