To develop the fundamentals of movement, to obtain physical fitness and strength, to provide mental skills that are also important outside of the gymnastics world (example: time management), but most importantly the purpose of gymnastics is to have fun and enjoy all aspects of the sport.
And the point of gymnastics? To push yourself to do better than you've done before. Isn't that the point of most things?
The purpose of gymnastics is for kids & adults to perfect things such as flexibility and body form . It's a great work-out & fun to do . Also sometimes gymnastic's can give you scholarships to colleges/university .
