either the accessory wire is unhooked or theirs a blown fuse!
The mode of communications radio equipment deal with is radio frequency communications. Due to the concern of public safety radio communications now send signals digitally.
I recently changed the battery on my 97 Camry. Afterwards the radio had no sound and the display was normal (like it always was), I checked the fuses, and even removed the radio from the dash, as I wanted it to go into the security mode, but it was fine except that I could not get any sound. A few days later during my lunch break at work I was sitting in my car just fooling around with the radio and with the key in the accessory position, I pressed the on off switch in and held it in for about 10 seconds and the radio came on and works perfectly.
1.25 amps
I had to go to a dealership to get the radio unlocked, also the cause; ( radio locked) was Battery Failure. After I puchased a new battery I found the radio use to be locked.
check to make sure that the power 12v and the ignition 12v are wired up correctly the "constant 12v" connection flows constant power to the radio to keep the preset channels and the clock memory active. the accessory is for when the car is turned on to accessory mode, the rest of the stereo will turn on. they are probably hooked up incorrectly.
yes
everything is backwards
I have an 1996 Audi Quattro A6 i changed my batteri and my radio went to safe mode. How do i get my radio off safe mode?
You need your operator's folder. In there is a booklet about the radio. it will have a code you need to enter to get the radio out of "safe" mode. the code is unique to each radio and car.

I had the exact same problem with my 2000 grand prix gt, you need to replace the gear box assembly.
Close the doors and /or turn off the lights.
hi Try turning off your computer at the mains and then restart it hopefully then it should come of hibernation mode
yeah-ive had this same prob and half to re-train myself every spring forward -fall back ...1st turn radio "on" then at the buttons on the right hand side of the radio- 1. press the "set" button once,(thie puts it into clock mode), then 2. press the "sel" select button once, (this puts it into hour change mode), then 3. using the tuning/seek button-and pressing either up or down to move the "hour" forward or backwards, then/or 4. press the "sel" button once more time/or twice (this puts it in minute change mode) and use seek button to move the minutes forward or backwards, and hopefully you are done, to get out of the settings mode - just wait 1-2 minutes and it defaults back to radio controls
the radios have a safety device on them...maybe the battery died once or the radio was disconnected on some point. so it may be in safe mode, call the dealer and give your VIN they should tell you how to activated.
