If you feel comfortabel handling tools and working on your car it is a relatively simple process. It just involves a lot of little steps - too many to include on this forum, and pictures can't be uploaded to this site. My suggestion is to purchase, or borrow from the library, a Haynes Manual for the vehicle and follow the clearly written directions included in it.
Your brake is seized from overheating. It will probably come down to a hammer and replacement parts.

how do you remove rear brake drum on a suzuki 2004 xl7
The purpose of a drum brake is to come to a complete stop with any veichle that may have drum brakes in the rear of the car.
If the rear brakes are drum brakes remove the wheel slide the drum off and check brake lining if brake lining is good then at the bottom of the brake assembly turn the adjuster wheel out. Check by putting drum on and spinning the drum until it spin 1 to 1 1/2 times around. If the car has rear disc brakes check brake pads probably needs to be replaced
Better hope it is not a drum brake- it was originally equipped with a disc brake caliper.
