There are few ways to get closure from a relationship with a person without involving them, however I found away to get closure from a relationship when the person has died. I think it could translate to answer this question too. I first wrote a letter to the person I was angry with. I explained why I was angry and all my thoughts and feelings about that person. I burned the letter. Do not send the letter. Then I wrote myself two letters from that person. The first one was from them to me and it was all my angry thoughts and what I thought they would think of me after reading my letter. It was funny how much worse I made the letter. The second one was from them to me as if they already had all the answers of the universe how would they feel about what I wrote to them. The second letter was filled with wonderful thoughts of understanding and compassion. I burned the first and kept the second. I think that it could allow us to forgive the other people even though their behavior may not be perfect still.
