High-Level brake lamp bulb change.
Open the hatch back.
Remove the two rubber grommets behind the stop lamp.
Insert the flat blade of a screwdriver into each hole and press down the spring clip. The light unit will pop out of its seat.
Close the hatch and change the 16W wedge fitting bulb.
Click the light unit back into place and replace the two rubber grommets.

Check to see if the brake fluid level in your brake master cylinder ( in your engine compartment ) is low , if the brake fluid level is low or your parking brake is on the brake light in your gauge cluster will come on
The brake light in the dash comes on if the parking brake is engaged or the brake fluid level is low in the brake master cylinder in the engine compartment
Have you checked the brake fluid level in your brake master cylinder in your engine compartment ? a low level will turn on your brake light in the dash
If your handbrake is on or if the brake fluid level in the brake master cylinder in your engine compartment is LOW , the " brake " light in your dash will light up
Is the brake fluid level LOW in the brake master cylinder in your engine compartment ? If the brake fluid level is LOW that will turn the brake light on in your dash
If your brake light is on that inducates that your brake fluid level in the brake master cylinder in your engine compartment is LOW ( assuming that your emergency brake isn't on ) Having a low brake fluid level will also turn on your ABS light
Check the brake fluid level, as on many vehicles the "emergency brake" (in the UK, Hand-brake) warning light also acts as a warning light for low brake-fluid.
If your brake light is on , either the parking brake is on or the BRAKE FLUID LEVEL in the brake master cylinder in your engine compartment IS LOW
If the brake light in your dash is on , either the BRAKE FLUID LEVEL in the brake master cylinder in your engine compartment is LOW or your parking brake is on
Open the hatch. Remove the two screws that are securing light. Peel back the carpet from the side of the boot area where it meets the side plastic trim. Remove the plastic wing nut from the rear of the light. Remove the light and unclip the harness plug to allow for complete removal of light from the vehicle. Replace bulbs as required.
Do you mean the " BRAKE " light ? - when the brake fluid level is low in the brake master cylinder in the engine compartment , the " BRAKE " light will come on just like it does when the parking brake is engaged
