For starts, there are narrow trim pieces on each side of the radio that pop off. This reveals holes in which you can insert a DIN tool that can be purchased at Autozone for $5. Presumably, you insert the tool to release clips and pull out the radio. Very tricky. Good luck.
One way to get a disc unstuck from a 6 disc changer is to try to hit eject while the car is off. This sometimes forces the disc to eject.
How do you remove a stuck CD it plays but does not eject
How do i remove a stuck Cd from my 2005 Toyota Highlander? The CDs will not eject.
You don't!
How did that even happen...
I have found that a lot of burnt cd's are a hair bigger in diameter and get jammed in the Ford 6 disc changer... Just remove the stereo take the cover off manually remove the disc on top then plug it back in and it should eject all the other ones unless there are more that are stuck...
stick a straightened paper clip in the small hole on the faceplate..the tray should eject.
They get stuck when the CD Changer is starting to get worn out.
remove the sterio and then un screw the two bolts Alternatively, with the CD Changer in the vehicle, push 'eject' and if the CD won't come out, get a credit card or something similar and lift the CD upward. I have also had to grab the CD with needle-nosed pliers. They get stuck when you use homemade CDs, commercial CDs of good quality almost never get stuck.
Take it out and get a new one!!!!!
press eject
I had a stuck CD, Books on CD from the Library. Missed the comment about not putting Library CDs into the player if they have any exterior labels on them. Searched and tried most of the tips on the web and then I lucked out. Try scanning to different tracks, and pressing eject in dirrerent locations on the CD. The book on tape completed and I hit Eject as it started to preplay from track 1. Nerver got any where ejecting but it continued to play the CD. I moved it to the last track and the CD and immediately hit EJECT. Have the read mechanism in a different spot did the trick.
