When you press the button on your key fob, it sends a signal to a reciever, unfortunatly the reciever is up in the interior light infront of your leaky sunroof. I suspect if you pull the sensor down it will be full of water. Hope this helps I had the same problem and here's how I fixed it 1.Park the car on level ground.Open both sunroofs and carefully pour water in the drainage channels at the sides of the sunroof frame.Note where the water can overflow these channels and get into the headliner. 2.Carefully build up the drainage channels that are too shallow with clear or black silicone adhesive.Fill the various holes in the sunroof frame with silicone - yes , there are several! Be carefull not to clog the drive screws for the sunroof or block the normal operation of the sunroof. 3.Leave roofs open to dry overnight and then check for smooth operation of roofs. Just in case some water leaks in despite this work: drill 3 small drainage holes in the overhead console.I put mine at the foreward lower edge of the console. One at each corner and one in the center. Close both sunroofs and drench the roof from a hose .Watch for leaks. Drive the car DOWN a steep hill to force the water towards the forward drainage hoses. Watch for leaks. You did clear out debris and kinks in these drainage hoses didn't you??? They exit behind the front wheel arch splash shields.
Scenics suffered from leaking sunroof which damaged the reicever for the C/L and immob in the interior mirror. Chech to make sure its not full of water. Apart from that you are stuck with a very poor quality immobilizer from Renault. If its any conselation, there are loads of Renault drivers in same position. Hope this helps.
I think its a secret
i have a 54 model and it is behind the non opening sunroof, nearly as far back as it can go.
tighten torx screws holding glass to sunroof hinge. this is most common cause.
Try disconnecting battery for a minute or so and then try to start your car. I had the same problem on my 1999 1.9 dti. Or some of the older lagunas had little black thing beside sunroof, try to lock and unlock the car with remote and try to star your car then. Had this problem wiht 1995 1.8 laguna...
first check you haven't got a blown fuse.then check that water hasn't got into the electrics.
Replace the seals. Replacing the seals is useless, i did this and a few weeks later the water was back again!! So then i took out the whole sunroof assembly and used silicone (making sure not to block the drainage pipes that run down into the wheel arch) to completely seal the sunroof so it was airtight. 4 years on and it hasn't leaked one drop.
Connect the sunroof motor with the sunroof motor retaining bolts. Connect the sunroof linkage. Connect the wiring harness to the back of the sunroof motor.
A very good chance you may have a crack, or hole or split in your chassis or a leak thru the door, or even a leak in sunroof.
under the sunroof contole panel in front of the sunroof
i have a 1993 saturn sc1.the relays in the sunroof keep the sunroof from working.anyway to fix it
Pretty much, a panorama sunroof is just a very large sunroof which allows a wide viewing angle.
