If it's the smaller mirrors, then you'll need to replace the whole assembly. If it's the "dumbo" larger power/heated mirrors, then all you have to do is adjust the mirror all the way to one side and finesse the retaining rings to pop the glass off. The wires are part of the housing. The replacement glass goes installs in reverse order. Just be patient and take your time. make sure the glass is completely seated in place.
