slowly. Im unable to find this out either. Ive heard the shaft simply pulls out of the carrier via snap ring but nothing and i do mean nothing verifies this on the internet.
where is the output shaft speed sensor located on a 2001 Kia Optima?
on the blower most bearings are flange mount, and will have a Allen set screw locking the shaft to the bearing,
you don't, you have to replace the whole drive shaft.
The 1998 GMC Jimmy front axle shaft torque specification is 60 pounds. You want to make sure that you do not over torque the axle shaft, as you can ruin the axle bearing.
If it has slack at the output shaft on the tcase, most likely it has a worn chain. Is it slack up and down or as you rotate it? If it's up and down it could be as simple as the ujoint on the front dshaft or a bad output shaft bearing.
You have to be able to pull the old bearing and replace it with the input shaft in place (it takes a special puller and installer). Not being able to do that (like me), the transmission needs to be almost totally disassembled to remove the shaft/bearing from the case. There are clearance issues with the countershaft and mainshaft that cause this. If you go that way you still need a bearing splitter and press to get the bearing off and press the new one on. Because you have taken the front cover off the transmission, you will have to do some shimming between the case and outer bearing race.
you will have to have the axle pulled at a shop.the bearing slides along the axle shaft and seats in the axle housing.
to remove carrier bearing, u will need to removbe the drive shaft from the vehicle the carrier bearing is bolted to chassis with 2 bolts . these will need to be removed and the carrier and bearing will come out with the drive shaft one drive shaft is out you can then knock old bearing and carrier off of shaft with a hammer. the old carrier is no good so doesnt matter if you trash it once you get old one off, carefully known new one onto shaft until seated, being careful to note which is front of carrier bearing you can then reinstall cariier bearing and drive shaft to truck. NOTE: now is a good time to check and replace if needed the U-Joints on the drive shaft
You must remove the rear drive shaft section and then remove the support.
you can, but it will require you to replace the output shaft on the '95 trans. with your old '90 model, as there is a worm gear built onto the old style output shaft to drive the speedometer cable. To replace the output shaft, you have to nearly completely teardown the transmission.
How do you find dia meter of shaft when bearing no is given?
