The brakelight sensor is located on the brake switch, which is on top of the brake pedal and held on with a 14mm jam nut.

There is no brake light sensor. There is however a brake light switch. It may be mechanical, which would be located somewhere on the brake pedal lever. It can be bad or just out of adjustment. It can also be a pressure switch located on the master cylinder.
It could be a fuse , a sensor , or some other problem with the anti-lock braking system ( as long as the " brake " light in your dash is not on , you still have " normal " braking ) it means air brake system and it has something to do with your brakes. unhook the battery cable and let it reset and that will tell you for sure if you have something wrong let it reset for 15 minutes
The abs light came on because there is a problem with the abs ( Anti-lock Brake System). The abs light will not reset until the problem has been fixed. Once the abs system is repaired the light will reset itself.

On a 2002 mc ls pull the head light switch in and out 3 times and you should hear a dinging sound letting you know you have reset low tire pressure sensor.
