My security light was on for approximately 2 months before one day she just didn't crank. I tried the reset stuff and ended up having her towed to the dealership where they installed a new ignition cylinder which also required a new set of keys. The total cost was roughly $450 and I feel well worth it. I wouldn't want to by-pass the system or even have my husband attempt to fix this sort of malfunction. I had read that someone said the cost would be $1,000 which is totally way off. When I get ready to sell my 2002 TransAM w/RAM Air I want it to be in top condition. My black beauty only has 81,000 miles and I'm still lovin' it!
