took my 2002 to the dealer for the same noise they said it needed front brake pads they looked fine to me and I'm a mechanic. we paid them for the repair of the brake pads and the noise went away??? I think the dealer performed an additional repair under warranty that fixed it and charged us for a un needed brake job !!!
This is probably due to worn brake rotors on the brakes, if there is no vibration when driving then this will be the cause.
Have the front rotors turned on a lathe at a dealership. check brakes and rotors
Your brake rotors are warped and need replaced/resurfaced.
Could be that the rotors are "out of round" and need either to be resurfaced or replaced
it creats a flat spot on your tire which makes it skid easy, like a sled. When your driving in snow or ice, don't slam on your brakes, just tap them over and over again and let go of the accelarator, and hold the steering wheel tight.
Most times, the squeaking and rubbing noises are caused by brake pad wear, but you say the brakes are fine. Otherwise, if by constant rotation speed you mean the squeaking/rubbing noise is present even when the brakes are not applied, you might want to get the wheel bearing inspected
If you are driving on wet roads there is no way to avoid those effects. Most brakes dry out very quickly when applied.
This is usually a symptom of excessive run-out (warped) on front brake rotor or rotors.
rubbing from brakes or rubbing from frame
When disc brakes are applied, a caliper squeezes the brake pads against the disc and the wheel slows. When drum brakes are applied, curved shoes located inside the drum are pushed outwards, rubbing against the inside of the drum and slowing the wheel.
is this 4 wheel drive
this is usually the indicator that you need new brakes so dont worry just get them replaced problem solved
